JFS Ride
Through a cost-sharing agreement with Paratransit, Inc., Jewish
Family Service of Sacramento has a 10 passenger wheelchair
accessible van to provide transportation for our agency’s
elderly and disabled clients. JFS Ride provides door-to-door
services at a cost of $2 each way.
Over 100 seniors who can no longer drive themselves
to social
functions, doctor’s appointments and grocery shopping
are registered riders. The
van service keeps these folks independent rather than relying
upon family, friends and neighbors.
The vehicle operates every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
by appointment. To
